i also have visited the google campus. it is a pretty amazing place. the photos don't show this but they also have laundry facilities and drop offs for dry cleaning and shoe repair, a gym, an on-site nutritionist, doctor, dentist, and daycare (not to mention amazing benefits). they not only have food every 100 feet but all different kinds of food for every different kind of diet and they are very eco-friendly. now, it may look like just fun and games but the google engineers do work very hard and long. many have to stay nights to finish their work and if they don't, they take it home. google provides all the support they can so they can get the best out of their engineers, including transportation to and from work in certain bay area cities in a shuttle with wi-fi (think of all the time you can commit to work if all the errands you had to run could all be done in one place!). now, if you want to work there, you'd better be brilliant and prepared to go through over 20 interviews before being hired. google is the best for a reason.
